I have 49 years' experience as a medical, forensic and scientific illustrator, the last 42 working as a freelancer for the leading publishing houses, individual medical and surgical clients, medico-legal and forensic clients, art studios and advertising agencies in the UK, Europe and the United States.

I work using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and seek to create images that have the feel and look of traditional media, occasionally combining hand-drawn artwork with digital painting techniques.

Having worked closely with medical and surgical specialists throughout my freelance career I have developed a good understanding of anatomy, medicine and surgery. Coupled with my illustration skills in colour, halftone and line, I feel this equips me well to take on a wide range of medical subjects, working from a client's original brief through to preparation of preliminary sketches to final production of completed artwork.

I cover most aspects of medical illustration and have particular experience in anatomical, medico-legal, forensic, and surgical illustration, particularly in the areas of cardiology, gynaecology/obstetrics, orthopaedics and general & paediatric urology.
